A recent clip shared by a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player highlights a troublesome issue on the new Bounty map, where calling in a Care Package near the edge can result in it flying off the rooftop. This incident was posted by Reddit user EvilTommyM, who filmed their experience on the Bounty map, one of the new additions introduced in Season 2 of Black Ops 6. The map, set atop a massive skyscraper in a city, provides a great vantage point, but it also presents a risk for players using Care Packages, especially near its edges.
In the clip, EvilTommyM drops down to the lower section of the map’s northwest rooftop area, aiming for a square construction space to receive their Care Package. After calling in the Scorestreak reward, the Care Package briefly lingers before bouncing off the surface, careening dangerously close to an adjacent building, and eventually disappearing out of bounds. The player is left watching the Care Package vanish, and their team continues capturing the middle Control point without it.
The issue of Care Packages falling off the map is not unique to Black Ops 6. Previous Call of Duty games, dating back to the original Modern Warfare, have experienced similar glitches, especially in maps featuring buildings and out-of-bounds areas. While some players suggested that EvilTommyM could’ve jumped to retrieve the Care Package, the contents would have still been lost once it fell out of bounds.
As Black Ops 6 continues to receive updates, future maps in the game may also feature similar Care Package issues. Players are advised to avoid calling in Care Packages near the edges of maps to prevent losing valuable Scorestreak rewards, as this remains an ongoing problem for the franchise.
